From 1st September, the name of Beach House Maldives was replaced by the Waldorf Astoria Maldives, and the change will become effective on 1st October. According to the company's research carried out on the Waldorf Astoria New York, changing the hotel's name will help people easily recognise the luxurious hotel chain, and associate its new name with its lavish attributes. According to the research conducted, name recognition of the Waldorf Astoria brand among frequent and upscale travellers is extremely high (at 82 per cent) making the brand easily recognisable and linked to the attributes of luxury, excellent service and unsurpassed quality.
